This group is Newcomer’s liaison with the community, keeping members aware of local charities and ways to help. 

Thank you to all who generously donated a food item for the Thanksgiving Food Drive. If you still have a food item or items to give, please email Kim. Since we have no December meeting, please consider attending the Holiday Cocktail Party in December and bringing a gift for the Gifts of Love Holiday Store. 

If you are not planning on attending the party and still wish to give a gift to Gifts of Love Holiday Store, please consider the following: 

Coffee Break and Charity Drive 

Stop by Starbucks on Thursday, December 17th between 10:30am and 11:30am. Grab a cup of coffee, visit with friends and consider bringing a gift for the Gifts of Love Holiday Shop. Gifts of Love provides a store for their clients so that they can give their families gifts for the holidays. The clients pay nothing and are allowed to go into a set up store and pick up one item per member in their family. Good ideas for gifts are unwrapped toys, candles, brand new sheets, gift cards between $15 and $20 to Best Buy, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Barnes & Noble, etc. If you would like to give a gift card and wish to give Kim $5 cash, she would be glad to combine everyone’s cash and buy a variety of gift cards. Another good idea is to buy gift cards with a friend. This is a wonderful way to spread the holiday spirit. We look forward to seeing you at Starbucks!
